Palin got gas, not experience, in Ireland (another Palin lie).

September 11, 2008

Sarah lies t-shirt at the <a href=Sarah Palin’s foreign policy “experience” just went down another notch.

Palin has also visited one fewer country than originally stated by her Alaska office. Earlier in the week, the governor’s Alaska spokeswoman was quoted as saying Palin had traveled to Iraq, Kuwait, Germany, and Ireland, in addition to Canada. McCain campaign spokeswoman Maria Comella acknowledged yesterday that Ireland was only a refueling stop on a trip in July 2007 to visit Alaskan National Guard troops in Kuwait and Iraq.

Comella said yesterday that the 2007 trip was her only foreign travel apart from visits to Canada.

The problem the McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens campaign must be having is keeping pace with attacks to come up with to cover those lies.

Sarah spews out another lie. Pretty soon, someone notices it. When something is said about it, that person is attacked. So far, McCain-Bush/Palin-Stevens has played the preggers card, the gender card and the lipstick card (that’s not including all it mock outrage).

I guess you could say it’s the Emperor New Clothes card.

By the way, have you EVER seen the GOP and its lackeys so concerned about political correctness, women’s rights and respecting a female candidate?

Condi is so proud of Cowardly Lion, Tin Man and especially Boy George Scarecrow

July 5, 2008

In Israel, to “Condi” is to talk a lot and not do anything, and that’s what Boy George’s friends think of his administration.
You have got to hand it to Boy George’s administration. Nothing like facts, evidence, total failure, scorn of their allies or tears of their friends will get them off message.
“Clueless” just leaps to mind.

Condoleezza Rice Says She’s `Proud’ of Decision to Invade Iraq

By Janine Zacharia

July 3 (Bloomberg) — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said she’s “proud” of the U.S. decision to wage the Iraq war and insisted that the world is not more dangerous than it was when George W. Bush took office.

“We’re now beginning to see that perhaps it’s not so popular to be a suicide bomber. We’re beginning to see that perhaps people are questioning whether Osama Bin Laden ought to really be the face of Islam,” Rice, 53, said in an interview to be broadcast this weekend on Bloomberg Television’s “Conversations with Judy Woodruff.”

“And I am proud of the decision of this administration to overthrow Saddam Hussein,” said Rice, who was Bush’s national security adviser at the time of the March 2003 invasion. As of yesterday, 4,107 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq and more than 30,000 were wounded. She said the Iraq war has been “tougher than any of us really dreamed.” Read More

That’s because all your planning was dreams. The idiots laughed off reality and threw our military men and women into a nightmare based on hopes, by gollies, guesses and just plain wishing – instead of realistic strategy and planning.
Oh, and don’t forget the lies Condi and the rest of her cheering squad told.

Colonel Bogey – or bring a WWII tradition to the Iraq War

Please click here to hear a bit of music.

Recognize that song? (You can cut to the chase here.)

You probably know it as the theme to The Bridge Over the Rver Kwai. The prisoners marched around all the time whistling the time. Why they did it will be apparent in just a bit, I promise.

If you are of a certain age, you remember it as the jingle for Malt-O-Meal. “Winners warm up with Malt-O-Meal!” As a matter of fact, the advertising world has seized up on the tune for many ad campaigns.

However, the music is the Colonel Bogey March. It was written in 1914 by Royal Marines Bandmaster Lt. F.J. Ricketts. It supposedly is based on a flamboyant colonel who refused to shout “fore” when playing golf. Instead, he would whistle two notes, which are the two first notes of the main phrase. The song was a hit, justifying Ricketts’ scheme to publish it under a pseudonym, K.J. Alford, to get around his military masters and to score some change on the side. Good thing he did, as the song was a hit.

Immediatly, soldiers, sailors and marines took to it right away. Of course, soldiers sailors and marines began to do what soldiers, sailors and marines always have done with new songs. They made up rude words to go along with the tune, especially as it was so easy to carry (we are getting closer to that bit about the whistling). They would sing “[Rude phrase] and the same to you!”, as a for instance.

Enter World War II.

One story goes that a chap named Toby O’Brien thought the tune would make a good propaganda ditty. Perhaps in response to British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain’s classic duping in his policy of appeasement, he composed words to a song that soon becae known as Hitler Has Only Got One Ball.

Here’s a sample of the many versions of the lyrics:

Hitler has only got one ball,
Göring has two but very small,
Himmler is somewhat sim’lar,
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.

So, you see, at least the Brits sitting in their theatre seats knew what the whistling was about, as the words certainly could not be used in the movie.

Fast forward to 2008. In the spirit of defeating tyranny, I have composed a few lyrics to go with the tune, suitable for singing (though not everyplace).

Balls toTerror

Osama has only got one ball
Cheney has two that are very small
Karl’s balls are only spitballs
and Dubya has no balls at all.

Connie pretends she has real balls.
Coulter? Well, that’s y’alls call.
Powell can only howl,
as his balls are nailed to Cheney’s wall.

Petraus may have a slight shortfall.
To betray us takes no balls at all.
Lieberman used to have one,
but it fell off and rolled down the hall.

Limbaugh cannot answer the call.
drugs made his balls too small.
Ms. O’Reilly will tell you shyly
that Bill O has no balls at all.

Was your congressional representative and were your senators among the cheering throngs last night for the smirking, prissy cheerleader-in-chief?

Mine were and it was sickening.

It was just another example of the Tom DeLay, New Gingrich and right-wing drug-crazed radio jocks bullying bellicose behavior. They have nothing of which to be proud, so they make noise cheering it.

We need to allow the rich to keep their tax cuts. After all, look how well it has worked out now.

Were your representatives among the cheering?

Were they cheering that during the past seven years the tax cuts for the rich have helped lower the median annual household income by more than $1,000 a year?

Or were they cheering that those tax cuts have helped destroy a budget surplus and saddled us with a $734 billion deficit?

Were they cheering that those tax cuts to create jobs in reality led to an economy where job growth is almost stagnant – from 1.76 million jobs created per year in the eight years before Bush to 369,000 jobs per year over the last seven years?

Maybe they were cheering that the Canadian Loon, or dollar, is now worth more than the U.S. dollar.

Were they the ones cheering Bush blaming Congress for denying health
care when it was the private insurance company’s denial of service that
recently killed a yound person needing a transplant? Were they cheering
the obscene insurance company profits – partially due to 47 million
Americans who have no health coverage? Were they cheering that that
figure is 8.5 million persons higher than when Bush strutted into
office?

Bush smirks as he calls for less dependence on oil, while whimpering to allow more drilling in wilderness areas, the price of gasoline is more than $3.00 per barrel in much of the nation, and heading back up there for the rest.

So, Rep. Michael Burgess, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison and Sen. John Cornyn were cheering $3.00 per gallon gasoline.

Thanks, guys.

Yes, you are part and parcel of the “success” of Boy George Bush. I pray the voters remember just who was cheering the smirking Bush boy tonight and they do something about it.

Re: Caving into White House demands to give phone companies immunity and allow warrantless wiretapping

So, protecting AT&T is more important to you than my rights as a U.S. citizen, eh?

Providing immunity to lawbreakers to cover official misdeeds is more important than accountability, eh?

Allowing warrant-less searches and wiretaps is more important a pledge to protect the Constitution?

It is very sad to see the U.S. Congress surrendering the rights of its people and giving away their protections so that the wealthy and powerful can run roughshod over the Constitution.

We, the little people you have abandoned, are supposed to take the attitude that if we have nothing to hide we have no worries. However, you give the powerful, rich and greedy a pass on the same rule.

Yes, you have conned enough people into cowering in fear and actually believing you are protecting them through your bullying, but some are actually starting to wake up. They remember when we stood tall and faced crises without making the populace afraid of its shadow.

I pray to God to forgive you for your shallowness and greed.

Here’s hoping your opponents can finish the job started during the last election.

You are a cancer on democracy.

Please resign, the lot of you!

As though you needed more proof of Bush lies

Gee, ma, if he’s such a liar, why doesn’t someone do something?

Hold on to your horses, there’s more evidence of Boy George Bush Administration lies. Shocking, yes, I know.

Study: False statements preceded war

By DOUGLASS K. DANIEL, Associated Press WriterWed Jan 23, 6:43 AM ET

A study by two nonprofit journalism organizations found that President Bush and top administration officials issued hundreds of false statements about the national security threat from Iraq in the two years following the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The study concluded that the statements “were part of an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false pretenses.”

The study was posted Tuesday on the Web site of the Center for Public Integrity, which worked with the Fund for Independence in Journalism.

White House spokesman Scott Stanzel did not comment on the merits of the study Tuesday night but reiterated the administration’s position that the world community viewed Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein, as a threat.

“The actions taken in 2003 were based on the collective judgment of intelligence agencies around the world,” Stanzel said.

Isn’t that cute? They even answer charges of lying with more lies.

By the way, Boy George, where is bin Laden?

Justice for 9/11 victims was just another cheap neocon lie. Bush, Cheney, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, Sen. John Cornyn, Rep. Michael Burgess all decided a pointless war in Iraq, based on lies, was more important than justice for the victims of September 11th. Bush, Cheney, Hutchison, Cornyn, Burgess and others decided handing over billions of dollars to Haliburton and other war profiteers with no-bid contracts and no accountability was more important than finding the man behind the murder of more than 3,000 innocents (at the same time, they criticize, ridicule and mock the survivors who take them to task).
